A little about Dr. Sam.
For Dr. Samantha “Sam” Bociulis, becoming a veterinarian was never just a career choice — it was a dream that began in childhood and grew into a lifelong passion. From her first experiences working in veterinary medicine as a high school student to opening her own veterinary practice, her journey has been driven by a love of animals, a fascination with medicine, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.
A graduate of Lafayette College and Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Sam has a special passion for the detective work of veterinary medicine — piecing together clinical clues, solving challenging cases, and finding answers when the diagnosis isn't immediately clear. Her professional interests include internal medicine, diagnostic ultrasonography, clinical pathology, cardiology, and immune-mediated diseases.
While she loves the science and complexity of veterinary medicine, Dr. Sam believes exceptional care goes far beyond diagnostics and treatments. She values the relationships built with clients, taking the time to listen, explain, and create thoughtful, individualized care plans. Whether navigating a complicated medical condition or celebrating a healthy pet's annual visit, her goal is to make every family feel heard, supported, and confident in their pet's care.
When she trades her stethoscope for some well-earned downtime, you'll likely find Dr. Sam exploring hiking trails, out for a run, or spending time with her husband and their Great Dane, Elsie. An avid equestrian and lifelong lover of learning, she also enjoys strength training, playing the piano, writing, and getting lost in a good high-fantasy novel. If you're looking for a conversation starter, ask her what she's reading — there's a good chance she's already halfway through another adventure!
